My husband is part fish – ergo, we spent a great deal of our beach vacation underwater. And what water this was! Not to mention the bluest of blues, it was the perfect temperature (as in, not freezing – I have a low tolerance for cold water).
We did several snorkeling outings during our vacation – there was nothing very near the resort where we stayed. One day we walked down the beach about 30 minutes to a protected reef (you could only snorkel around a roped-off area so it was hard to see much) and another day we took a boating excursion out to a few different dive spots.
Here are a few of my favorite snapshots:
Being underwater is a bit like what it must feel like to be in outer space (Cory’s description, and I thought it was an apt one), it’s a whole different world down there!
Drat, now I’m going to have the Little Mermaid soundtrack playing in my head all day.
Sorry, guys.
Wow! Amazing pictures. I love snorkeling.
Thank you Char! It’s one of my husband’s favorite things 🙂 Where’s your favorite place that you’ve been snorkeling?
I’ve only been in Kauai, which I know isn’t the best because of all the silt. But it amazed me–especially the Tunnels area on the north shore.
