It’s that time of year where thoughts of spring start floating in my brain, but the realities of winter will keep me bundled up for a few more weeks. So I’ve been experimenting with putting some seasonal bounce into my cozy winter wardrobe – here are a few ideas I’ve come up with:
Layer a cute summer dress over a longer wool one; cozify it with a sweater, tights and boots.
(Necklace: Premier Designs, Sweater: American Eagle, Chevron Dress: Target, Grey Dress: Gap, Tights: Target, Boots: Zara)
Layer cozy cords in a bright fun color with a thick winter sweater and a light, springy plaid top and some snow-safe sneakers.
(Sweater: JCrew hand-me-up from sister, Shirt: American Eagle, Cords: Gap, Shoes: Converse)
I am definitely sick of winter weather, and I have a hunch I’m not the only one. Hopefully this gives you some ideas to make March and April (those teasing temperature-indecisive months) a little more exciting, while still keeping nice and warm.
Your blog is very lovely. I wish I could draw and love the idea of drawing out outfits. I can’t wait for spring to truly well…spring 🙂 great post.
thank you! I have been doodling outfits since I was a teenager, recently picked it back up again 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed them!
Oh – we all wish for what we don’t have! Here in Sunny Gainesville it’s already in the 80s. I had very little chance to wear my boots this winter. And I love my boots…
very true 🙂
