It’s my final Alt recap post! I thought I’d give you a peek at what I wore for this high-fashion-friendly conference. The conference was so busy that outfit photos just did not happen every time, so I put together some sketches for you. The top 3 outfits are what I wore during the day, while the bottom three are what I wore at night. It was so much fun going through my closet and picking out what I was going to pack (I love packing!) and I was able to manage taking only two pairs of shoes (Naturalizer flats + Toms wedges) + alternating between two bags: a clutch for evening + a bigger bag for the day sessions. I really made an effort not to go crazy buying new stuff – I asked for a few goodies for Christmas + the rest is made up of seasons-old favorites that I’ve been wearing + loving for a while. I think it’s so important, even if you’re dressing a step-up from your usual style level, to stay true to who you are! And for me that means comfy + colorful.
This conference really challenged me with how I’ve been dressing day-to-day as I work from home. I realized I’d become really lazy (pajama pants all day every day, let’s be honest) and that definitely needed to change! I feel more confident + ready to get down to business in a really great outfit, don’t you agree? So here’s to kicking it up a notch.
How would you describe your signature style?

Outfit details (minus shoes + bags mentioned above):
Day outfit 1: American Eagle Cardigan (old), Gap elephant print shirt (old), JCrew necklace (old), Madewell jeans.
Day outfit 2: Anthropologie dress, Old Navy leggings + tall socks. (I would wear this outfit EVERY DAY, for real.)
Day outfit 3: Zara blazer (old), Target top, Gold necklace (gift), Madewell jeans.
Night outfit 1: Madewell zebra sweater (old), Asos sequin skirt (old), Gap tights.
Night outfit 2: Green necklace (gift), Aritzia dress.
Night outfit 3: JCrew cardigan (old), Target dress, gold belt (old).
I love how you did sketches of what you wore! I must have thought about my outfits for weeks before the big dates arrived… easier said than done. I’m like you, easily staying in pajama pants or gym clothes all day if my schedule allows. It was fun to pull myself together and “get dressed” though. Thanks for linking up! 🙂
Thanks Amy! I’ve always loved doing little outfit sketches 🙂 Haha gym clothes are definitely the second offenders around here if it’s not pajamas. Thanks for hosting the link-up!
